Domaine de la Renardière is headed by Jean-Michel Petit, who returned to the Pupillin to take over his family’s estate thirty years ago. Jean-Michel focuses on single parcel vinification, which he believes highlights each vineyard’s unique terroir. ‘l’Oubliée’ is a Chardonnay dominant blend rounded out with Savagnin, hailing from 20 to 40-year old vines rooted in gravel, marl, and limestone soils. These certified organic vineyards are hand-harvested and grapes are fermented with native yeasts, followed by one year of aging in new oak.
